Gdańsk to host VI Congress of the Polish Society for Social Communication

The Institute of Media, Journalism and Social Communication at the University of Gdansk is inviting participants to the 6th Congress of the Polish Society of Social Communication from 22 to 24 September. The congress is being held under the theme ‘Media and Society in the Age of Platforms, Algorithms and Data’.

Organised every three years, the congress is the most important meeting of researchers, experts and practitioners in the field of media and communication studies. The event aims to integrate the community of communication scholars and practitioners, raise the rank and level of the research being conducted and bring order to the field of communication and media studies in Poland. 

Researchers and practitioners representing the media and PR community accepted the invitation to participate. Almost 300 people from Poland and abroad confirmed their attendance. Prominent international specialists will act as keynote speakers: Graham Murdock – Professor Emeritus from the UK’s Loughborough University and Professor Göran Bolin from Södertörn University in Stockholm.
