The project Modifying Institutions by Developing the Gender Equality Plans (MINDtheGEPs) implemented at the intercollegiate faculty of biotechnology of the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk received funding under the Horizon 2020 Program.

The main goal of the project is to create an institutional action plan (Gender Equality Plan) leading to the promotion of equality between women and men in research and innovation. Promoting gender equality is one of the priorities of EU policies implemented by the European Commission in cooperation with Member States and research organizations.

The planned activities are aimed at increasing the participation of women in the decision-making and management bodies of universities, appointing a gender equality spokesperson and conducting open and targeted training courses, as well as monitoring recruitment processes and promotions for scientific and administrative positions in terms of equal opportunities.
