The Chinese Ministry of Education has approved an educational cooperation program between the Gdańsk University of Technology and Dezhou University in the Shandong Province of the People’s Republic of China. Acceptance by the Ministry of Education in China means significant financial support for the implementation of the program.
As part of the program, the University of Technology will offer an inter-faculty degree program in Power Engineering led by the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Shipbuilding.
The studies will be carried out in accordance with the 2 + 2 scheme, i.e. the first two years of studies at a Chinese university, and the last two years at Gdańsk University. Its implementation will start in 2021, which means that the first students under the program will come to the Gdansk University in 2023. It is planned to admit from 80 to 120 students per year. The agreement provides for the admission of new students for five consecutive years.
