Gdańsk University of Technology researcher becomes a member of the Technical Committee of the International Lighting Commission

Dr. Eng. Karolina Zielińska-Dąbkowska, assistant professor at the Department of Urban Architecture and Water Areas of the Faculty of Architecture of the Gdańsk University of Technology, was appointed a member of the Technical Committee of the International Lighting Commission (CIE).

CIE (International Commission on Illumination) is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to cooperation and exchange of information on matters related to natural and artificial light including color, perception, photobiology and image technology. Its members are CIE National Committees from 40 countries and more than fifteen individual members from countries or regions where there are no National Committees yet.

The main goals of CIE are to create a forum for international discussion on matters related to science, technology and practice in the field of light and lighting, and to exchange information in this area, to create basic standards and procedures for measuring light quantities.
