The best business idea in this year’s competition carried out by the students and PhD students of the Gdańsk University of Technology was the MedTagger project, a platform for collecting and labeling medical data, created by students of the electronics, telecommunications and computer science department.

The winning project combines learning with business. Its main assumption is to create public and open data sets that will allow the development of artificial intelligence in medicine. The idea is to provide the platform in the cloud and provide a group of volunteers to label the images.

The second place was taken by a team of chemists who elaborated PiaŻel – a high-energy material made of polyurethane foam and a liquid-absorbing hydrogel. The creators of the Stripes Care project – an innovative body care product took the third position. The product fights cellulite, its innovation is based on the use of black tea caffeine extract.
