Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce to establish Media Communication Center

The Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce laid a cornerstone for the Center for Media Communication and Information Science. The ceremony was attended by Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Science and Higher Education.

The Center, which will be commissioned in the second quarter of 2019, will include three institutes of the Humanities Department at the Kielce University. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has donated PLN 18 million for the construction.

During the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Gowin emphasized that the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce is one of the fastest growing universities in Poland and recently the Kielce high school has joined the group of the best universities in Poland.

– As a doctor of philosophy, I am especially pleased that the new building will contribute to the development of humanities. Together with social sciences, they are the basis for building national consciousness and relations with other people – said the deputy prime minister.
