The interdisciplinary research group ILLUME operating as part of the EcoTech center at the Gdańsk University of Technology in cooperation with the British Society of Light and Lighting is organizing the premiere ROLAN 2022 (Responsible Outdoor Lighting at Night Online Conference) online conference.

The conference, planned from 12 to 13 May, is addressed to lighting specialists, architects, town planners, landscape designers, lighting producers, local authorities, ecologists and researchers dealing with the subject of light pollution. This phenomenon is caused by improper lighting at night or advertising billboards.

The organizers have planned presentations by 31 outstanding speakers from Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Finland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and the United States, representing such specialties as lighting design, environmental sciences, biology, astronomy, science medical and law.
