The startup Flint Systems, operating in the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia, will build a virtual simulator of the Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) ship, on which crews servicing masts and wind turbines will be trained.

“The project involves the development of an application for the CTV unit, i.e. transporting the service crew, which will be integrated with the already existing traffic platform. The simulator will be based on a realistic simulation in accordance with the physical parameters of the ship’s behavior and the environment in which it will operate, i.e. the influence of waves, water currents, wind and other weather conditions”, says Grzegorz Szatkowski, Vice President of the Management Board of Flint Systems.

The simulator will be used for training purposes due to the growing demand for the services of qualified staff needed to operate Polish wind farms. The delivery of the simulation device to the customer is planned for December 2022.
