The Gdynia Maritime University has become a member of the Finnish research and development consortium Awake.ai, operating in the field of innovative marine technologies. Currently, the consortium has 78 partners – universities, research centers, companies and other stakeholders, including legislative and financial institutions.

Awake.ai provides an information and technology exchange platform for its stakeholders. It focuses on several main areas of research and development: maritime digitization; building solutions for maritime autonomy; reliability and safety of maritime operations; planning of sea operations and the use of sea resources.

The Maritime University by joining the Awake.ai platform as part of an international consortium expressed its willingness to support its members by providing advice and opinions, creating innovation, research and development cooperation, developing partnerships and strengthening the competence base in the field of maritime technologies.
