The Naval Academy (AMW) in Gdynia will cooperate with national entities in the area of cultural heritage protection in the face of specific threats. Letters of intent to this effect were signed during the 1st Heritage Security Congress in Gdynia.
The first agreements were signed by the Rector-Commander of the AMW, Cadm. Prof. Tomasz Szubrycht, with the National Heritage Conservation Institute, the Heritage Security Institute, the School of Fire Service Aspirants in Krakow, the Castle Museum in Malbork and the National Maritime Museum in Gdansk.
This is another step towards building an institutional and substantive partnership around the AMW for professional and interdisciplinary training in heritage security and systematic action to improve the national system for the protection of cultural property. Postgraduate courses in the field of Protection of Cultural Property in Crisis Situations and Armed Conflicts will start at the Academy from October”.
