A Sports Centre is being built at the Maritime University of Gdynia (UMG). The facility will stand on the UMG campus on Morska Street, on the site of a previous sports hall that was demolished. So far, 26 per cent of the investment has been completed. The first users will benefit from it next year.

The new building will have five storeys, one of which will be underground. It will include a full-size sports hall with a climbing wall, four changing rooms with full sanitary facilities, a changing room for referees and staff, rooms for coaches, service space, guest rooms with kitchenettes and bathrooms for 40 people, an auditorium for 130 people, sanitary facilities for spectators, a fitness area and gym, office spaces, a conference room, and underground parking.

The state-of-the-art hall will eventually be connected to the new student residence, planned to be built in the second phase of this sports and academic complex. The cost of the investment including equipment is approximately PLN 55 million.
