In the latest Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2022, Polish universities took better positions in the world than last year. However, the number of our universities included in the ranking (25) and the number of disciplines in which they are successful (28) have not changed.
The best Polish subject was physics at the University of Warsaw which is ranked 50-75 in the world. The Jagiellonian University in Krakow has noted in the largest number of disciplines, as many as 13. The next one was the University of Warsaw classified in 10 disciplines.
The prestigious group of Top-200 universities that run the best disciplines in the world include: AGH University of Science and Technology – Metallurgical Engineering (151-200), Warsaw University of Technology – Instruments Science and Technology (101-150), Warsaw University of Life Sciences – Veterinary Sciences (101-150), Jagiellonian University – Public Health (101-150), Mathematics (151-200), Veterinary Sciences (151-200), Poznań University of Life Sciences – Food Science and Technology (151-200), Wrocław – Food Science and Technology (101-150), University of Warmia and Mazury – Veterinary Sciences (151-200) and University of Warsaw – Physics (51-75), Mathematics (101-150), Instruments Science & Technology (151-200 ).
