A graduate of the Naval Academy in Gdynia, Emilia Szymczak, won the 20th competition for the Work of the Year in the Field of Forensics.
The awarded BA thesis: “Methods of identifying people and biometric security as tools to ensure security in Poland” was written in the 2018/2019 academic year at the department of command and naval operations of the Gdynia university.
The competition is organized by the Polish Forensic Society. The jury of the competition was guided in particular by their scientific level, opinions of reviewers and promoters, the topicality and novelty of the subject matter presented, as well as their particular significance for forensic practice. Works containing the empirical part and conclusions resulting from the conducted research were highly rated.
