Justyna Wójcik, graduate of the University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz, received an award in the competition of the Society of Polish Town Planners for her diploma theses in urban planning and spatial management. She was awarded for the architectural concept of the Early Medieval Historical Reconstruction Center in Bydgoszcz.

The laureate’s project assumes creating a place that will combine many tasks: exposing the rich history of the city of Bydgoszcz, creating a new attraction in the Myślecinek Park, educating wide strata of society and connecting enthusiasts of early medieval history.

The facility will become a showpiece of the park. The choice of location is also dictated by historical reasons and the rich historical tradition of Bydgoszcz, where there were several early medieval castles. The remarkable architectural form of the building is embedded in contemporary trends in architecture.
