Over 200 people interested in submitting ideas for the new initiative of the National Center for Research and Development (NCBR) – the Great Challenge: Energy, took part in the conference supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The project’s pattern are American technology competitions like the DARPA Grand Challenge and it aims to develop solutions that will allow the use of wind in the most effective way. The prize is as much as PLN 1 million.
The participants’ task is to develop solutions that will allow low-speed wind to be used in the most efficient way: for production, storage and energy transfer. The devices that will be designed are intended to be used at home and they should be quiet and compact.
