Four faculties of the University of Bialystok have received the scientific category “A” within the final evaluation made by the Evaluation Committee of Scientific Centres. The “A” category again was awarded to the Faculty of History and Sociology of the Białystok University – informs Katarzyna Dziedzik – the University’s spokesperson.

The assessment is carried out every 4 years, and the last results were announced in the autumn of 2017. At that time, the Committee also awarded the category “A” (very good grade) to the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Philology.

The other faculties received category “B” (satisfactory level). As a result of appeals, after re-examining the data on the scientific activities of several faculties and their employees, the category “A” was restored to the Faculty of Physics and to the Faculty of History and Sociology. Thus, currently, half of the faculties of the university have been awarded with the highest scientific category “A”.
