The Baltics Program Network will link universities and research institutes of Great Britain and the Baltic region. One of the founding members of the network is the history department of the University of Gdańsk.

In addition to the Cambridge and Gdańsk universities, the network also includes the Danish University of Copenhagen, the Scottish University of Glasgow, the German University of Greifswald, the Finnish University of Helsinki, the Estonian Klaipėda University and the University of Tartu, the Latvian University of Latvia and the Swedish Uppsala University.

The Center intends to create a fully financed Baltic program, focusing on studies on the latest history and current geopolitics of the Baltic, with particular emphasis on relations with Great Britain.
