Prof. Katarzyna Starowicz-Bubak from the Institute of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) in Krakow has been awarded the ICRS Mid Career Award by the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS).

The award is presented to an outstanding scientist who has not only demonstrated a commitment to cannabinoid and endocannabinoid research but has also developed a consistent programme of research excellence in the field.

According to the Institute of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the person honoured with the award shows a rich and prestigious publication history, which documents his or her above-average achievements and exceptional competence in the field of cannabinoid and endocannabinoid research.

Prof. Katarzyna Starowicz- Bubak and Prof. Matthew N. Hill, who also received the award, will give lectures summarising their achievements to date at the next ICRS congress to be held in June/July 2024 in Salamanca.
