Researchers from the Polish Academy of Sciences have developed filters that are to collect about 95 percent of harmful substances emitted from domestic ovens- informed Prof. Jan Kiciński from the Institute of Fluid Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

– We have managed to construct electrostatic filters that can be used in single-family houses. It can be edge-cutting solution, because these filters are very cheap and easy to install – said Prof. Kiciński.

The designed filters are already installed on furnaces in selected Polish municipalities. They were also presented to the government. The scientists are looking for contractors who would produce them on a mass scale.
