From January 1, 2020, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Ministry of National Education will be formally merged and will be replaced by a single Ministry of Education and Science.

-The number of deputy ministers will be decreased, some departments will be merged, others will be separated out, – claimed the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek.

The head of the Ministry of Science added that nothing will change in his work, because depending on the subject, he will work in both of the existing ministries.

Minister announced the merger of those departments whose scopes of activities are doubled, such as departments of international cooperation. He also reminded that there are two departments of government administration: “National Education” and “Science and Higher Education”, which will continue to function separately.
