Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin (PUM) obtained funding from the Minister of Education and Science for the construction of scientific and research infrastructure and the purchase of scientific and research equipment for the Third Interdepartmental Didactic Center (MCD3). The total amount of the subsidy is almost PLN 37 million.

The use of modern laboratory infrastructure is considered crucial at PUM. The university is focused on developing research, infrastructure and practice in the field of health care. MCD3 will significantly contribute to the development of the accredited SARS-CoV-2 immunological diagnostic laboratory, including monitoring the condition of patients with COVID-19 and in training the staff of PUM units.

– We would like the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin to become a research university and to offer young medical staff a full spectrum of education in our university and our region – says the PUM rector, Prof. Bogusław Machaliński.
