Łukasiewicz – the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals won the Stanisław Staszic Silver Laurel of Innovation for the best innovative products. The competition jury awarded the project “Magnetically soft core of a nine-pole low-power brushless DC motor stator”.
The aim of the competition, organized by the Supreme Technical Organization, the Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations, is to promote modern products, technologies and services. The competition is addressed to companies with registered offices in Poland, as well as economic and scientific-research entities whose innovative products may be of interest to the Polish economy.
The invention in the form of a hybrid stator has already been applied in the prototype ReligaHeart ROT long-term centrifugal pump for heart support, which is currently in the phase of advanced animal research at the Prof. Zbigniew Religa Foundation for the Development of Cardiac Surgery in Zabrze.
