Deputy Minister of Education and Science Wojciech Murdzek attended the opening of the Laboratory of Innovative Medical Education at the Medical University of Wrocław (UMW). The new laboratory will contribute to improving the quality of education for future healthcare professionals.
The Innovative Medical Education Laboratory was created as part of the UMW Medical Simulation Centre. It was equipped with 14 medical computer simulation workstations using two new systems. They will help to practice procedures related to first aid and the management of patients during mass incidents.
The use of modern technology in the laboratory will also reduce teaching time. At computer workstations, several students will be able to master a specific, repeatable procedure at the same time. Medical simulations will follow the same principles as the aeroplane flight simulators known for years.
