Dariusz Dzikon, Paweł Janowski and Oleksandr Yeroshkin, students of the Faculty of Computer Science and Management at the Wrocław University of Technology, have created a mobile telephone application to support tourists visiting museum exhibitions. Their solution since February 27, 2018 will be used in practice during the “Wrocław mannerism” exhibition that starts this day at the National Museum in Wrocław.
In October 2017, the students of the Wrocław University of Technology became the winners of the team competition for student projects. They presented the basic version of the “Guide Me” application for the first time. The application has been placed on the Google Play platform. It can be downloaded for free, it takes less than 60 MB.
Operating the program is intuitive and is based on a network of micro transmitters located at specific exhibits and Bluetooth technology. Thanks to them, individual exhibits are identified and appropriate content is selected for the screen.
