– The best what we have in Chełm is the State Higher Vocational School, which educates pilots of civil aviation. Precisely, this school is what develops the scientific potential of the city – said Mayor of Chelm Jakub Banaszek.

Banaszek added, that the PWSZ will establish the Institute of Medical Sciences. The school has received PLN 30 million as subsidies from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

– Establishment of the institute is the first step for the constructing a medical center. Mayor of Chełm wants to “profile the city for the medical services market”. My goal is to double the number of students in the future. The current number is about 1000 – emphasizes Banaszek.
