Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals to implement the project for over PLN 14 million

Research Network Łukasiewicz – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals The Light Metals Division in Skawina began the implementation of the project entitled “Welding extrusion of high-strength aluminum alloy sections of the 7xxx series”.

The aim of the project is to develop and implement technology for extruding closed profiles from hard-deformable aluminum alloys. The project is co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development under the Modern Materials Technologies – TECHMATSTRATEG program.

The project is implemented by a consortium composed of: Research Network Łukasiewicz – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals Light Metals Division (leader); AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Department of Non-Ferrous Metals; Albatros Aluminum. The total cost of the project is over PLN 14 million.
