-Vaccination is the only rational choice, thanks to which we will be able to exit the pandemic faster, – claims the interdisciplinary COVID-19 advisory team of the president of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The team reminded that due to the pandemic over 72 million people fell ill worldwide this year with over a million in Poland. Official data also indicate over 1.6 million fatalities, including over 23,000 people in Poland. These numbers are probably understated.

By encouraging vaccination, scientists claim that in the vast majority of cases vaccinated people will not get COVID-19 or they will pass the disease mildly, even if they become infected, vaccinated people will not infect others at all, or in rare cases they will infect others to a lesser extent and if we vaccinate ourselves globally, the epidemic will cease.
