Michal Bystram, a student from the Medical University of Gdansk, has become a member of the Young Professionals Programme initiative at the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER).

The association works to strengthen the role of public health by improving the quality of education and creating a network of the best universities providing education in this area.

Fourteen participants were selected for the programme out of 70 applicants from all over the world. Participants will take part in a number of projects that will enable them to gain international experience, reports the university.

The Young Professionals Programme provides an opportunity for research collaboration with scientists from all over the world, exchange of experience, as well as the co-authorship of reports and publications concerning, among other things, the current state of the field. In addition, the aim of the initiative is to educate young scientists and to popularise knowledge on public health.
