Rector of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow Prof. Wojciech Nowak and Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Poland Muhammad Mahfuzur Rahman signed an agreement for establishing Bangladesh Center “Bangabandhu” for Bangladesh Studies at the Jagiellonian University.

The Center’s task will be to initiate, support and develop educational and research activities in the field of Bangladesh studies. It will be the first unit of this type in Europe.

The Bangladesh Studies Center “Bangabandhu” will be established at the Institute of Middle and Far East of the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University.
