The cooperation of the two largest universities in the Świętokrzyskie region was discussed during the meeting of the rectors of the Jan Kochanowski University (UJK) in Kielce and the Kielce University of Technology.

The cooperation will concern three areas: science, didactics and entrepreneurship. Its effect is to be joint research projects and a joint offer, tailored to the industry needs.

-We want to launch joint study courses, for example in Biomedical Engineering. The University and the University of Technology have the potential to create such study in Kielce. Its graduates will have no problems with finding a job – emphasizes Prof. Stanisław Głuszek, Rector of the Jagiellonian University.

In the longer term, the rectors of both universities see the possibility of creating an inter-university faculty offering education in jointly created fields of study.
