The Jan Kochanowski University (UJK) in Kielce signed an agreement on cooperation with the Central Office of Weights and Measures under the programme of the Minister of Education and Science, Polish Metrology.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Stanisław Głuszek, Rector of UJK, and Prof. Jacek Semaniak, President of the Central Office of Measures. It concerns the project “Metrological foundations of therapy with the use of ionising radiation”, and the person coordinating the project on behalf of the university is Prof. Janusz Braziewicz.
Under the agreement, the Central Office of Weights and Measures will make its laboratories and equipment available to the university’s representatives. The effect of the cooperation will be the conduct of activities aimed at developing an ionometric primary standard of absorbed dose and the exchange of information on the dosimetry of ionising radiation.
