John Paul II Days will be held in Krakow

On November 15-18, 2021, the 16th John Paul II Days will be held in Krakow. The aim of the event “Towards reconciliation”, will be to commemorate the figure of John Paul II and popularize his heritage in the academic community of Krakow and the whole of Lesser Poland. The lectures are intended by the organizers to help to understand the philosophy and teaching of John Paul II.

The decision to organize the first John Paul II Days was made in 2006 by the Collegium of Rectors of Higher Schools in Kraków. The joint event of Krakow universities “Truth” was then coordinated by the Pontifical Academy of Theology.

Then, the role of the main organizer was taken over by: the University of Economics (2007 – “Dobro”), the Academy of Music, the State Higher School of Theater and the Academy of Fine Arts (2008 – “Beauty”), the Jagiellonian University (2009 – “Faith and science”), the AGH University of Science and Technology (2010 – “Freedom”), Krakow University of Technology (2011 – “Dignity”), Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow (2012 – “Dialog”, 2013 – “Wisdom”, 2014 – “Hope”, 2015 – “Holiness “, 2016 -” Mercy “, 2017 -” Human rights and the rights of nations “, 2018 -” Independence “, 2019 -” University “, 2020 -” John Paul II. What’s next? “).
