The University of Wrocław and the Palacký University in the Czech Olomouc are implementing a project that increases the language competences of high school and university graduates on the Polish-Czech border. The goal is to reduce unemployment in this region.

– The beneficiaries of our activities will be people learning Polish in the Czech Republic and the Czech language in Poland who want to look for a job in neighboring countries – says Ivana Dobrotová, head of the Section of Polish Philology at the Department of Slavic Studies at the Palacky University in Olomouc.

The main element of the project “Increasing the language competences of future graduates in the cross-border labor market” are one or two semester courses. Students, who complete the course will receive a certificate confirming their knowledge of the language, they will also be able to take the verification exam (A2 or B1). The project will last until the first half of 2021.
