The winners of the XXV “Polish Product of the Future” competition of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and the National Centre for Research and Development have been announced.
In the category ‘Product of the future of higher education institutions and science’, the main prize was awarded to the Institute of High Pressure Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences for its safe hybrid (“double-walled”) hydrogen storage tank of high stored energy density with continuous leak monitoring. The innovative design of the tank responds to the upcoming demand for new fuels such as hydrogen.
Distinctions in this category were won by the following projects: HydroGEN – an innovative solid-oxide electrolyser for the production of emission-free hydrogen developed by the Institute of Energy – Research Institute, and Hogweed – a device for microwave destruction of invasive plants developed by the Hugo Kołłątaj Agricultural University in Kraków.
