27.02.2019

Nearly a thousand secondary school pupils competed in the 11th the all-Polish Elektron competition. Its organizer is the department of microsystems and photonics of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Participants solved tasks based on electrical engineering, telecommunications, optoelectronics and photonics as well as mechatronics.

The competition took place in three stages, starting from the elimination at schools, through the regional stage, to the final. It was won, as last year, by Hubert Kulka from the Silesian Technical Research Institute in Katowice. The second place was taken by Jakub Dietrich from the School of Communications of Nicolaus Copernicus in Poznan, and the third by Jakub Jendryka from the Academic Schools of the Wroclaw University of Technology.

Participants solved tasks prepared by scholars of the University of Science and Technology and students from the Association of Polish Nanotechnology Enthusiasts. They concerned electronics, and often extended beyond the school curriculum.
