The Kozminski Academy (ALK) in Warsaw was included in the first Positive Impact Rating (PIR) as one of 30 business universities in the world and the only one from Poland. The rating was announced on January 22 this year during the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The goal of Positive Impact Rating is to present universities that are guided by sustainable development and a positive impact on society and the environment in their mission and day-to-day operations. The universities were evaluated by their students in terms of sustainable development, social commitment and ethics.
ALK is a well-known research center of business ethics in Poland and worldwide. The Center for Business Ethics and Social Innovation operates under the leadership of Prof. Bolesław Rok. The university is involved in scientific and business projects in the field of social responsibility and sustainable development.
In 2012, it hosted the 5th World Congress on Business Ethics organized by the International Society of Business, Economics and Ethics. It is a co-organizer of the nationwide Ranking of Responsible Companies and Startups of Positive Impact.
The Kozminski Academy is conducting post-graduate studies for sustainability managers implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which have already been completed by 200 specialists.
