Krakow’s Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Academy is organising the ‘All About Tenderness / Olga Tokarczuk / Contexts’ conference on 16-18 October 2022, which aims to be a debate on emotions, care and tenderness in cultural, social and educational contexts inspired by the work of the Polish Nobel laureate.

„In today’s world, affected by pandemics, worries and social insecurities, we propose an opportunity to discuss and rethink the importance of authentic EMOTIONS in social life, in education and in other spheres such as literature, history and art, media and cinema, as well as education”- announce the organizers. 

They propose to bring together different research, expertise and ideas through the works of the contemporary Polish writer, Nobel Prize winner Olga Tokarczuk. 

„By reading and interpreting the works of Olga Tokarczuk, juxtaposing them with other CONTEXTs, we want to explore the importance of tenderness and social well-being in all spheres of life, something we can very broadly call tenderness/love”, emphasize the conference organisers.
