An exhibition commemorating the President of Poland from 1922 to 1926, Professor Stanisław Wojciechowski, was opened at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). The exhibition was inaugurated by the Rector of SGH, Dr Piotr Wachowiak, accompanied by the Deputy Speaker of the Polish Sejm, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, a great-granddaughter of President Wojciechowski.

“In addition to the car in which the President might have travelled, you can also see an exhibition presenting the profile of Professor Stanisław Wojciechowski, who was employed at SGH between 1919 and 1939” said Professor Wachowiak when opening the exhibition.

The exhibition is the first in a series of events planned as part of the centenary celebrations of Stanisław Wojciechowski’s presidency.

On 18 November, a seminar prepared by the Department of Economic and Social History will be held under the title ‘Stanisław Wojciechowski – politician, social activist, academic teacher’. It will be accompanied by an exhibition of academic works and publications by Stanisław Wojciechowski, prepared by the SGH Library.
