The Rector of the University of Agriculture in Kraków (URK), Prof. Sylwester Tabor and the Director of the University Children’s Hospital in Kraków, Prof. Wojciech Cyrul, Jagiellonian University, signed a letter of intent to cooperate.
As part of their activities, the two units will aim to collaborate on training in endoscopic surgery using robotic medicine on animal models.
The aim of the cooperation is both to improve the practical skills of medical staff caring for minor patients and for the staff of both units to acquire modern and innovative knowledge.
Robotics in medicine, based primarily on the use of knowledge from automation, computer science, sensor and cybernetics, as well as artificial intelligence, is key to revolutionising the way patients are diagnosed, treated and monitored.
