The Krakow University of Technology (PK) received the decisions of the Ministry of Education and Science regarding the evaluation of scientific activity in eight majors practiced at the university. The results show a very high level of scientific activity conducted at the PK.

In seven majors: Architecture and town planning; Automatics, Electronics and electrical engineering; Chemical engineering; Civil engineering and transportation; Material Engineering; Mechanical engineering; Environmental engineering, Mining and energy, the Krakow University of Technology has been awarded the A scientific category, and in the Technical Informatics and telecommunications – the B + category.

In 2022, the evaluation was carried out according to completely different principles than before. The Ministry assessed quality of scientific activity within the majors of a given entity, and not scientific units (faculties) of the university, as it had been before. The individual achievements of employees representing a specific major were also taken into account.
