During the LabDay at the Wrocław University of Technology participants were able to learn about the applied chemistry. One of the attractions was a lecture with elements of the show “Molecular Gastronomy, or Chemistry in the Kitchen”.

LabDay is a project of the Students’ Self-Government of the Faculty of Chemistry. During one day, scientists and students from scientific circles presented atypical applications of chemistry and revealed the secrets of their laboratories. They presented the Nuclear Chemistry Laboratory, and in the Biotechnology Laboratory, where everyone could isolate their own DNA from a sample of saliva with the use of reagents available at home.

The Marathon of laboratory experiments and the Panel of Opportunities, i.e. meetings with representatives of industry companies and graduates working in the profession and with the most talented students and doctoral students, were also popular. In total, over 60 lecturers attended the lectures on the LabDay.
