Linear Park Wrocław-Fabryczna will be built on the site of a closed railway siding in Wrocław. This is the first investment in the city connecting new office buildings with the public green area. The design was created in the Study and Design Studio of the Institute of Landscape Architecture at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences – says Dr. Justyna Rubaszek, head of the team developing the project.
The design of the park is part of the global tendency to transform post-railway areas into green areas. Linear parks are an important element of the city’s green infrastructure – they connect functionally and spatially dispersed green and open areas, thus facilitating access to them. Their linear layout has also ecological value.
The park, with a total length of approx. 600 m, is planned together with new office developments arising in the area of Strzegomska and Fabryczna streets, in the new business center of Wrocław.
