The Language Observatory of the University of Warsaw (UW) is working on a new version of the online dictionary of Polish neologisms. Researchers are inviting Internet users to contribute to the works. Each person can submit their proposal on the website: www.nowewyrazy.uw.edu.pl
The Language Observatory of the University of Warsaw, operating at the Center for Cooperation and Dialogue of the University of Warsaw, studies and describes the latest Polish vocabulary. The results of this work are published as an online dictionary of neologisms, which is constantly being expanded.
It includes such words and expressions as, for example, “poważka, jadłobus, jajowar, aferał, jazda na suwak, betonoza, wyścig słoni, metoda na wnuczka”.
Currently, researchers are working on a new version of the dictionary of neologisms, supplemented with tools for advanced resource searches.
