General Dr Roman Polko’s lecture ‘Safety is a past: to defuse the crisis’ inaugurated the project Open Academy of Science of the WSB Academy. The series of lectures organised by the WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza aims to popularise science by extending the educational programme in secondary schools.
During the lecture, a former commander of the GROM special unit tried to answer questions on how to find oneself in a complicated reality and learn to function in it.
“Today, good information can now only be found in the weather forecasts. Provided that it is about the weather for the day, and not, for example, about the climate, because if it is about the climate, it is about change, and if it is about change, it is probably not for the better… A pandemic, a war, a climate crisis, an economic crisis, a crisis of democracy, a crisis of trust in institutions, a crisis in the health sector, a crisis in education”, listed Gen Polko.
