The Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences of the Lower Silesian University in Wrocław invites participants to an open lecture by Professor Gaston Pineau entitled “Current trends and new perspectives in applying the biographical method as a research and practical approach”.
Professor Pineau will also lead the methodological workshop “How to conduct biographical research? Research experience and methodological solutions applied in the francophone countries “. These events will take place as part of the International Scientific Conference titled “In the space of biography. Identification of experiences, processes and changes on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the publication of the “Polish Peasant in Europe and America” by Florian Znaniecki and William Thomas.
The work of William Thomas and Florian Znaniecki is still a source of inspiration for scientists, due to the pioneering way of analyzing and interpreting authentic documents that emphasizes the importance of the biographical dimension of human life.
The lecture of Professor Pineau will take place on May 9, 2018 at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Lower Silesian University in Wrocław, ul. Strzegomska 55, at 9:30 am, room 111.
