Lecturer of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia – Dr  Dagmara Drzazga,  – received the Maciej Łukasiewicz Award for publications on contemporary civilization and culture and for popularizing knowledge. The jury of the Polish Journalists Association Awards competition appreciated her film “Generations”. 

260 journalistic works and press photographs were submitted to the competition. The greatest number of publications was submitted to three categories: the Stefan Żeromski Awards. the Janusz Kurtyka Awards and the Maciej Łukasiewicz Awards. In the justification of the verdict, the jury emphasized that the laureate’s film is an extremely colorful document, made with great class and artistry, with great professional skills.

The results of the competition were announced during the award ceremony of the Association of Polish Journalists. In this year’s event, the jury honored the best works published and broadcast in the Polish media in 2020.
