Sara Betkier, lecturer from the Design Department of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Technology and Industry in Bydgoszcz won the Polish Fashion Academy award “Fashion Creator of the Year”.

The award is granted yearly to only one Prêt-à-porter clothing designer for special design achievements. It is a huge distinction in the fashion world, aimed at highlighting achievements and position on the fashion market, as well as a sign of quality and good design.

Sara Betkier creates a brand signed with her own name with her own designs of women’s clothing. She has participated in the numerous shows, exhibitions and received awards in national and international competitions. In 2016, she was awarded by the Polish Fashion Academy the “Hope of Polish Fashion” statuette for her “Black” collection, in 2017 she was awarded the title of “Personality of the Year” in the business category.
