The rectors of the universities gathered in the Academic Consortium have signed a letter of intent on the “Scientific Programme for Silesia” within the European Science City Katowice 2024.

The Science Programme for Silesia is a multi-year project that addresses, among other things, the funding of scientific research aimed at solving the most significant challenges of energy, economic, environmental and social transformation in our region.

It also aims to strengthen the international position of the Consortium’s universities, involving social, business and local government partners in scientific activities. The programme is intended to enable students and doctoral students to work with experienced scientific staff. The programme will be implemented through the support of the Łukasiewicz Research Network.

The signatories to the letter are the Academy of Music, the Academy of Fine Arts, the Academy of Physical Education, the Silesian University of Technology, the Medical University of Silesia, the University of Economics in Katowice and the University of Silesia.
