Library of the University of Silesia, by the decision of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Prof. Piotr Gliński, was included in the nationwide library network. The application received a positive opinion from the Ministry’s department and the National Library.

The aim of the nationwide library network is to conduct uniform library and information activities. Libraries belonging to the network cooperate in collecting, developing, storing and sharing collections, preparing and disseminating bibliographic and documentation information, scientific and research activities, training and professional development of library employees, as well as exchanging and transferring library materials and information.

The network includes public libraries and other libraries incorporated into it by the decision of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
