The NEBA Alliance consortium comprising the Technical University of Lodz and 13 partners from Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden has received a grant from the HORIZON Europe programme.
“The NEBA Alliance, with its diverse expertise across the EU, will address skills gaps in the sustainable and closed-loop construction sector and create better employment opportunities at regional and national level, while promoting high quality and inclusivity in construction”, says the grant coordinator at the University, Dr. Eng. arch. Aneta Kępczyńska-Walczak, prof. of the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning.
According to the rector, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, by becoming part of a large European consortium, the Technical University of Łódź is joining the initiative to create an EU-wide training network. “It will support the European construction sector, a significant emitter of greenhouse gases. I am delighted that this further partnership demonstrates our efforts to implement the European Green Deal in a closed-loop bioeconomy,” he added.
